Glenn G. Pudelka

Glenn G. Pudelka is a Co-Chair of the Firm’s Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Group. Glenn represents individuals and companies in the publishing/entertainment, digital media, software, internet, content and biotechnology fields as well as numerous colleges and universities.

Glenn has extensive experience in the area of copyright and privacy and focuses on handling various content licensing, distribution, supply and commercial agreements and copyright litigation support, as well as website terms and privacy policies (including CCPA and GDPR compliance).

Additionally, Glenn assists with copyright litigations, trademarks, general corporate, privacy and publicity law issues and counsels clients on intellectual property issues and policies, including matters regarding artificial intelligence and generative AI.

Glenn is also a member of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as a member of the Boston Pro Bono and Hiring Committees.

Prior to joining the Firm, Glenn worked for eight years as a book editor for several publishing houses in New York City.

Glenn is a Past President of the Copyright Society of the USA.

His representative experience includes:

• Regularly counsels and negotiates for major book publisher on various publishing collaboration and content licensing transactions
• Counseled major children’s book publisher on author agreements and international collaborations
• Negotiated worldwide distribution agreement for biotechnology company with major pharmaceutical company
• Second chaired copyright/breach of contract litigation for major publishing company
• Counseled clients on website privacy policies and terms of use
• Defended apparel client in copyright infringement litigation regarding use of photograph
• Counseled numerous clients on various copyright issues, including fair use and infringement
• Assisted Fortune 1000 company in preparation of an open source usage policy and checklist
• Drafted intellectual property and copyright policies for numerous academic institutions
• Counseled client on copyright ownership issues regarding photography negatives held within client estate
• Counseled client on copyright estate for photographer's collection of photographs
• Negotiated numerous publishing agreements for authors
• Evaluated intellectual property issues in litigation and various business transactions
• Represented a biotechnology company in a collaboration agreement for China
• Negotiated several exclusive license agreements with major universities for life sciences companies
• Counseled numerous clients on various trademark and other intellectual property issues
