Yukiko Oka works in the Firm’s Boston office in the Intellectual Property group as a Technology Specialist whose practice focuses on mechanical and electrical arts. She has over five years of experience examining Japanese and PCT patent applications in various mechanical and electrical arts, including but not limited to, circuitry, printing devices, industrial materials, information systems, and manufacturing equipments. She is native Japanese and speaks fluent Japanese.
Prior to joining the Firm, Yukiko worked as a patent examiner at Japan Patent Office examining patent applications for various mechanical and electrical arts. As a graduate student at University of Tokyo, Yukiko performed research in nanofluidics, the study of fluids in nanoscale channels. Her master’s thesis involved nanofluidic battery, diode, and transistor as fluidic analogs of the commonly known electronic versions.
