As a litigator, Sarah Lancaster has handled a variety of high-stakes disputes in government and federal court actions. Sarah’s practice focuses primarily on antitrust and other complex litigation matters. The antitrust matters on which Sarah has worked include claims involving monopolization, price-fixing and group boycotts. She also regularly represents the nation's largest consumer financial services companies, including banks and mortgage servicers, in individual actions in state and federal court. She has significant experience defending lawsuits arising under consumer protection laws, state and federal unfair competition and business practices laws, and lending, debt collection and credit reporting statutes and regulations. Sarah has also defended clients in a variety of other disputes involving breach of contract, fraud and insurance coverage.

Sarah is experienced in all aspects of the litigation process through trial, including managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, mediation and other early settlement opportunities, motion practice, preparing witnesses for trial, and pre-trial objections and post-trial motions.

Her experience includes:

  • Represents health care distributor in opioid litigation in state and federal court
  • Represents dental distributor in antitrust litigation in federal court involving claims of Sherman Act violations and the Texas Free Enterprise and Antitrust Act
  • Represents insurance company in a declaratory judgment action relating to a policy coverage dispute
  • Represented dental distributor in antitrust litigation action involving claims of group boycott before the Federal Trade Commission and obtained dismissal of claims at trial
  • Represented dental distributor in class action antitrust litigation involving claims of monopolization and price-fixing and in investigations by various government agencies for similar claims
  • Represented banks, mortgage lenders, mortgage servicers and other financial institutions in cases involving Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) claims
