Marie Hayashi concentrates her practice on commercial litigation.
Marie counsels clients in all aspects of the litigation process, including pre-trial investigation, discovery, pleadings and motions, hearings, mid-trial negotiations and post-trial. Marie represents clients in a variety of high-stakes litigation involving breach of contract, commercial fraud, insurer-reinsurer disputes, healthcare payor-provider disputes and actions brought under federal consumer protection statutes. Marie has represented clients in both state and federal court and arbitrations.

During law school, Marie was a member of the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Center for Wrongful Convictions, where she was involved in extensive investigations to help identify and rectify serious miscarriages of justice. She was also a member of the Environmental Advocacy Clinic, where she gained significant research and appeals experience advocating for the cleanup of superfund sites and injunctions against the disposal of nuclear waste. She also served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Law and Social Policy.
Prior to law school, Marie worked as a paralegal in the Business Immigration practice of a large law firm.
