Kirsty’s experience includes:

Investment

  • Advised one of Southeast Asia’s largest property development companies, Sinarmas Land Limited, on its purchase of the Alphabeta building in Finsbury Square, London, for more than £250 million (which won Deal of the Year 2016 at the Property Week Awards) and, separately, New Brook Buildings, Great Queen Street, London, in 2013 for £84 million
  • Advised China Overseas Holdings limited on its purchase of 1 Finsbury Circus, London, for £152 million and Centrium Building, 61 Aldwych, London, for £170 million
  • Advised the purchasers of 99 Gresham Street and, separately, 60 Gresham Street in the City of London
  • Advised JP Morgan in connection with the acquisition of 25 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, for £495 million
  • Provided specialist rights of light settlement advice in connection with the redevelopment of various sites within the City of London
  • Acted for a New York-headquartered private real estate investment firm on the acquisition of Old Spitalfields Market for £100 million

Data Centres

  • Acts for one of the world's leading telecommunications and media companies on its global data centre and corporate real estate requirements
  • Acts for an international data centre operator on purchasing and leasing sites in Europe and Asia
  • Acts for a major UK data centre operator on the acquisition, development, leasing and customer contracts relating to its facilities in the London area
  • Acts for a global provider of financial market data on its data centre space requirements. Recent transactions include sites in London, Singapore, New York, Missouri and Wisconsin

Corporate Acquisitions

  • Managed a corporate share purchase transaction with a complex debt structure and subsequent hive across two student accommodation blocks in Liverpool and Loughborough
  • Assisted with the purchase (and subsequent strategic management) of a portfolio of properties adjoining London's Old Street roundabout for a JV entity for an undisclosed sum
  • Coordinated the corporate acquisition of two regional shopping centres in the United Kingdom (the Kennet Centre in Newbury, Berkshire, and the Kirkgate Centre, Bradford) for a global private equity investment firm
  • Advised Varde Partners on the purchase of Bizspace Group, the UK provider of flexible business, for approximately £138 million

Lettings

  • Represented the landlord of the Nobu Hotel in London on a development agreement for lease, headlease and ancillary documents
  • Represents the landlord of 110 Cannon Street, London, assisting with occupation and development strategy
  • Negotiated a number of high-profile lettings in Central London, including Balthazar restaurant in Covent Garden
  • Represents various tenants on lease acquisitions, including recent lettings at Tower 42 and 1 Finsbury Square, London
  • Advised a multinational pharmaceutical company on the re-gear of the headlease of their HQ Building within the United Kingdom
