John's representative experience includes:
- Lead counsel for MVC Capital, Inc., a NYSE-listed business development company in connection with many of its acquisitions and investments commencing in 2004. John has represented MVC Capital in over 60 transactions
- Lead counsel for Prospect Partners in an add-on acquisition by its portfolio company Owen Equipment of Legacy Equipment Company, a supplier of street sweepers, sewer cleaning equipment, refuse and mechanic trucks and snow removal equipment
- Lead counsel for Prospect Partners in the sale of its portfolio company Owen Equipment, a specialty equipment platform providing critical infrastructure solutions to municipal, utility and commercial customers, to CenterGate Capital
- Lead counsel for U.S. Gas & Electric, Inc. (USG&E), in its acquisition by Crius Energy Trust for total consideration of $172.5 million
- Lead counsel for Stonepoint LLC in its acquisition of Vapor Power International and National Varnish Company
- Lead counsel for Kinsale Capital Partners, LLC, in its acquisition of Managed Packaging Systems, Inc., and Elwood Corporation
- Lead securities and M&A counsel for Oak Technology, Inc., a formerly NASDAQ-listed company; represented the company in connection with five acquisitions; acted as lead counsel for the company in connection with its sale to Zoran, Inc., in a transaction valued at $378 million
- Counsel for 1WorldSync Holdings, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) network, in its acquisition by Battery Ventures, a global, technology-focused investment firm
- General Counsel for the Alliance for Audited Media, a not-for-profit organization that audits the circulation of newspapers and magazines in the United States and Canada
