    Lani Durio is a labor & employment associate in the Houston office of Locke Lord LLP. She has experience representing employers in matters relating to the enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements as well as misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information.  Lani has also worked with employers in various industries in developing employment policies compliant with federal law.

    • Drafted response to age and sex discrimination charge asserted under Title VII and the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act
    • Drafted pleadings in federal and state court on behalf of employees and employers for claims involving violations of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, misappropriation of trade secrets, wrongful termination, breach of employment agreements, breach of fiduciary duties, and other business related torts.
    • Advised employers on matters under the Affordable Care Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and Age Discrimination in Employment Act
    • Drafted employee handbook for UK entity seeking to expand to the United States
    • Drafted separation and release agreement between employer and departing employee in compliance with OWBPA
    • Obtained TRO and temporary injunction against former employee for soliciting customers and using confidential information
