Alex Dishun focuses her practice on commercial litigation involving real estate, consumer finance, labor and employment, insurance, and business disputes. She represents clients from the outset of a dispute, including advising on litigation avoidance measures, through appeal. Alex also counsels financial institutions, employers, and insurers with respect to compliance with federal and state regulations.
Alex represents mortgage lenders, servicers and investors in federal and state court litigation involving claims of violations of statutes such as the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO)Act, the Georgia Residential Mortgage Act (GRMA), and state and federal statutes prohibiting unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts and practices (UDAAP).
