Laura Crotty is a Senior Counsel in Locke Lord’s Chicago office focusing her practice on corporate and securities law. Laura has significant regulatory experience in both the U.S. and U.K. capital markets, having overseen the regulatory compliance of capital market participants in relation to equity transactions, including initial public offerings, introductions to market, fundraising and restructuring transactions. In addition to transactional work, Laura has extensive experience analyzing periodic reports published by public companies and advises clients on ongoing SEC disclosure obligations and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining the Firm, Laura was a manager in the Listing Transactions department of the Financial Conduct Authority in London where her responsibilities included the review and approval of equity capital market transactions, including initial public offerings on the London Stock Exchange. Before that, she spent five years with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an attorney in the Division of Corporation Finance, focusing on the application of federal securities laws to public pharmaceutical, insurance and financial services companies. She has also worked in private practice focusing on general corporate matters and corporate restructuring transactions.
