She has represented, advised and advocated for clients throughout the litigation process, including pre-suit demands, dismissal and summary judgment briefing, discovery management, motion practice and oral advocacy in state and federal court, and negotiating and drafting settlement agreements.

Her experience includes:

  • Argued and obtained partial summary judgment awarding subsidiary of major food processor approximately $1 million in damages for breach of contract claims against international purchaser
  • Moved to quash invasive federal subpoena for documents and corporate testimony from large sporting goods retailer and negotiated resulting withdrawal of subpoena without concession
  • Drafted summary judgment briefing that facilitated agreed take-nothing judgment on million dollar trespass and condemnation claims against utility company
  • Represented municipal fire district at bench trial in real property dispute
  • Assisted in trial preparation, pre-trial hearings, and eve-of-trial settlement of $20 million premises liability and negligence claims related to a fall that resulted in the plaintiff breaking his spine and spending time in a coma; settlement obtained days before trial was a small fraction of what was previously demanded
  • Defended and helped obtain favorable settlement for major automotive distributor against common law and statutory tort claims; the parties reached a settlement agreement within five months for far less than what was initially demanded
  • Assisted in drafting dismissal briefing that resulted in voluntary dismissal of six-figure claims against private equity firm
  • Assisted in representation of real estate developer in design defect arbitration against architect
  • Assisted in representation and trial preparation on behalf of owner in multimillion-dollar construction dispute with general contractor
  • Assisted in representation of academic institutions in claim for underpayment pursuant to a patent licensing agreement
  • Assisted in representation of international food brand in pursuit of federal Lanham Act and state law claims against competitor for false and misleading product labeling
