Locke Lord Represents Leading International Aircraft Lessor in 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Decision

Locke Lord lawyers Chris Barth, Hugh Balsam and Matthew Kalas (all of Chicago) secured a decision by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals which affirms in full the district court’s grant of summary judgment to the Firm’s client, a leading international aircraft lessor. The appellate court, in a 3-0 decision, held the lower court’s application of res judicata to bar the plaintiffs from pursuing a new action was fully supported by the law and facts. This represents the second appellate decision in favor of the Firm’s client before the 9th Circuit, the first of which was handed down in 2016.
