New York and Houston Team Represents Zhongshan Broad Ocean Motor Co. in Inter Partes Review Challenging Patent Claims From Nidec Motor Corporation

A Locke Lord team of Charles Baker and Daniel Nguyen represented Zhongshan Broad Ocean Motor Co., Ltd. in an inter partes review proceeding challenging patent claims asserted by Patent Owner Nidec Motor Corporation regarding low noise heating, ventilating and/or air conditioning HVAC systems. On May 9, 2016 the PTAB held the challenged claims asserted by the Patent Owner against Broad Ocean to be unpatentable, and denied Nidec’s motion to amend those patent claims.
