Energy Team Represents Comstock Resources in Sale of Conventional Natural Gas Properties in South Texas

David Patton (Houston) represented Comstock Resources, Inc. in the company’s definitive purchase and sale agreement with a third party to sell Comstock's conventional natural gas properties in South Texas. The transaction closed Dec. 12, 2016 and Comstock received proceeds of $26.7 million from the divestiture representing the sales price of $28 million as adjusted for activity subsequent to the effective date. Comstock intends to use the proceeds from the sale toward funding its 2016 drilling program, according to the company’s press release.
