The UK Government has set out proposals today to ensure trade in goods and services continues once UK leaves the EU in March 2019.
The position paper calls for goods already on the market to be allowed to remain on sale in the UK and EU without additional restrictions, as well as allowing consumer protections to remain in place.
The third round of Brexit negotiation talks are due to take place in Brussels next week.
A second paper has also been published today, calling for a reciprocal agreement with the EU that ensures continued confidentiality for official documents currently shared by Britain and its EU member states.
Further position papers are due soon, including one on the crucial issue of the European Court of Justice.
