Deloitte threatens to move jobs out of UK
November 17, 2016

Deloitte, one of the leading global accountancy firms, has threatened to move some of its business (and workforce) out of Britain if the Prime Minister clamps down too hard on immigration. David Sproul, Deloitte’s UK chief executive, announced that the company might “reluctantly” take jobs abroad if it could not import enough talented workers into the UK. This statement from Deloitte comes amid a Deloitte-produced memo, leaked to The Times, which outlined the huge Brexit workload facing Whitehall. Mr Sproul said the ability to employ foreign workers was vital to the company’s success – “We have more than 100 nationalities working for us in the UK. Having a diverse workforce is vital in terms of allowing us to grow and innovate.”
