    Large UK companies struggling to be heard in Europe

    A report issued by the Sunday Telegraph has found that many senior executives working for FTSE 100 companies are gradually being frozen out of crucial strategy talks in Brussels. Despite having significant revenue with operations and partnerships stretching across the whole of the Eurozone area, the largest UK companiescovering all industriesare reporting that EU officials are simply no longer willing to listen to their input, with unanswered telephone calls and discussion papers not being shared with other EU members. Furthermore, within the European Commission, many UK officials have reported being excluded from meetings and round table discussions. However, this allegation has been firmly denied by the commission – “The European Commission continues to meet with many British companies and other stakeholders and will not stop doing so”.
