Brexit- not so doom and gloom after all?
October 27, 2016

Latest GPD figures show the UK economy has grown 0.5% since the Brexit vote for the months July to September. Despite the figures for the third quarter being down from the 0.7% growth recorded for the second quarter, there is a far more promising outlook compared to the 0.2% growth initially forecast by the Bank of England only last month.

Chancellor Philip Hammond, who is due to announce his first Budget next month, said the results showed the British economy’s “resilience” to the challenges the UK faces while it negotiates its exit from the EU.
