Government to Push Ahead Without Parliamentary Approval

During a gathering of the cabinet at Chequers, the Prime Minister’s official country residence, ministers have agreed the need for a “unique” deal for the UK in exiting the EU and that they should push ahead with triggering Article 50 without Parliamentary approval. The Prime Minister asked the cabinet to focus on “opportunities” outside the EU stating that the UK will not “sort of stay in the EU by the back door”.
