Kritzman, a partner and associate, respectively, in the Firm's Insurance and Reinsurance Department, wrote an article about how insurers in both the US and abroad should be aware of the effects of US sanctions in Westlaw Journal Insurance Coverage. In the article, "US Sanctions Against Russians, Ukrainian Separatists, and Iran -- What It Means for Insurers' OFAC Compliance Programs," the authors analyzed how, broadly speaking, the US government prohibits companies from issuing insurance policies and reinsurance contracts involving insurable risks subject to a sanctions program.
