Locke Lord’s Kanasha S. Herbert Selected as 2024 Fellow of Chicago Urban League’s IMPACT Leadership Development Program

Locke Lord Chicago Senior Counsel Kanasha S. Herbert has been selected as a 2024 Fellow of the Chicago Urban League’s IMPACT Leadership Development Program, a nine-month-long fellowship in partnership with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business that is designed to support Black professionals in the Chicago area as they advance in their careers and also increase their business network. Fellows are nominated by their employers and selected after a competitive application process and receive individualized mentorship from senior industry leaders.

Herbert has a broad corporate law background with significant experience representing companies and entrepreneurs in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, securities finance and compliance, intercompany spin-off and wind-down transactions, and corporate governance matters. She regularly represents private equity funds in portfolio acquisitions and venture capital and growth equity funds, angel investors and emerging growth companies in debt and equity financings.
