(HOUSTON) November 3, 2020 –Locke Lord Houston Partner Brandon F. Renken has been named to the Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2020, which honors exceptional business and community leaders.
An active community member, Renken is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Law Center. He also serves as an East Region Board Member for the Special Olympics and on the Houston Bar Association Special Olympics Committee, where he previously served as Chair. He also teaches jiujitsu at Elite MMA, where he has trained since 2006, and supports Rocksteady Boxing, a functional boxing program targeted at addressing the most devastating effects of Parkinson’s Disease, the American Heart Association and The Woodlands Marathon.
Renken credits the support of his hardworking mother with his journey to Harvard University and the University of Texas Law School and his success as a lawyer. At a young age, he became fixated on logic and justice after his father went to prison for a white collar offense, and he has since focused his energy toward the law.
Renken, a member of the Firm’s Board of Directors and the Litigation Practice Group, maintains a broad-based commercial litigation practice concentrating on all types of complex commercial disputes, in both civil and criminal matters. His experience includes general commercial litigation and arbitration for energy clients, health care service providers and technology, media and telecommunication clients, among others. He also has extensive experience in trade secret, personal injury, real estate and real property litigation, as well as securities investigations and litigation. He is a Fellow of both the Texas Bar Foundation and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
