Rory Radding, a member of Locke Lord’s Intellectual Property group, and Tom Smedinghoff, a member of the Firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity group, have been recognized among the world’s leading practitioners of data law in the Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders – Data 2019 guide. Radding and Smedinghoff are listed among practitioners with extensive experience in data privacy, protection, security and technology, media and telecommunications matters.
Throughout his career, Radding has counseled on IP/IT strategies and transactional matters and litigated diverse patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret cases, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of cases involving a range of industries and products. He recently co-authored “Responsible AI: A Global Policy Framework.”
Smedinghoff focuses his practice on information law and has been internationally recognized for his leadership in addressing emerging legal issues regarding electronic transactions, identity management, privacy, information security and online authentication issues, from both a transactional and public policy perspective. He is currently Co-Chair of the ABA Cybersecurity Legal Task Force.
