    Locke Lord Dallas Associate Joe Unis Selected to Join Institute ‎for Energy Law’s 2019-2020‎ Leadership Class

    Dallas Associate Joe Unis has been selected for the Institute for ‎Energy Law’s (IEL) second Leadership Class. Unis will be one of only 40 accomplished lawyers ‎from across the nation with varying energy law practices chosen for this honor.

    Unis is a member of Locke Lord’s Energy Litigation and Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Groups. He has experience representing and advising various oil and gas exploration and production companies, individuals, health care companies, universities, financial institutions, insurance companies and other corporate clients with respect to contract, title and royalty disputes in all phases of litigation and negotiation. In addition, Unis has negotiated and drafted leases, surface use agreements and option agreements for his oil and gas clients. He has both federal and state jury trial experience.

    The IEL, one of the divisions of The Center for American and International Law, is a membership ‎organization composed of leading energy companies and lawyers. The organization is one of the ‎world’s oldest continuing legal education providers and presents several educational conferences ‎and seminars each year, publishes papers and periodicals, and provides an important forum in ‎which contemporary issues affecting the energy industries can be discussed.‎

    The IEL Leadership Class will take part in a leadership retreat and continue through April 2020 ‎with various webinars, conferences and networking events. The Leadership Class concludes at ‎the National Young Energy Professionals’ Law Conference.
