(LONDON) November 6, 2018 – Two Locke Lord London lawyers have been recognised as leading practitioners in their respective practice areas by Chambers and Partners in the recently published Chambers UK 2019 rankings. Along with the individual rankings, Locke Lord’s UK Consumer Finance practice was also recognised.
The Firm’s UK Consumer Finance practice maintained its UK-wide Band 3 ranking for the third consecutive year. A client notes that “one of the most appealing aspects is the team’s commerciality,” and that “they understand the needs of the business as well as providing legal advice.”
James Channo, Managing Partner of Locke Lord’s London office and Co-Chair of the Firm’s International Transactions Practice Group, maintained a Band 4 ranking in Corporate/M&A: Mid-Market. Channo, who has wide-ranging M&A experience in financial services, fintech, hotel and energy, was highlighted for being “very smart and responsive” and for his “very positive manner.”
John Olsen, Chair of Locke Lord’s International IP Practice Group and Co-Chair of the Firm’s Trademark, Copyright and Advertising Practice Group, was recognised as a “noted authority” in the sector. Maintaining a Band 4 ranking in Intellectual Property, Olsen was also acknowledged for his “very proactive approach” to complex matters.
