Boston Associate Walter Rodriguez was appointed as the Young Lawyers Division Region I representative for the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). Region I covers Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. As a representative, Rodriguez will have the opportunity to work with other young lawyers to tackle issues facing the region, coordinate networking events and promote professional development. The HNBA Young Lawyers Division encourages young lawyers to work together on projects for their community and for their profession, and to address the needs and interests of newly admitted attorneys.
At Locke Lord, Rodriguez represents public and private companies and private equity funds in connection with financings, corporate and securities law matters and mergers and acquisitions. He served on the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys (MAHA) Board of Directors this past year and was presented with a Pro Bono Recognition Award in 2017 on behalf of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice for his leadership and public service, including his efforts to promote diversity in the legal profession.
