Chicago lawyer Roger Fross received the Don Michael Randel Community Service Award at the South East Chicago Commission’s (SECC) 65th Annual Awards and Holiday Reception, held on Dec. 4, 2017. The award is given to a community leader for his or her outstanding contributions to not only the SECC but the community overall. Fross has served on the SECC Board of Directors for over forty years, most recently as its Vice President.
Additionally, Fross has served as an officer and member of a number of boards of directors and committees, including The Joyce Foundation, Chicago Metro History Fair, Chicago Bar Association Juvenile Delinquency and Adolescent Offenders Committee, Hyde Park Neighborhood Club, Hyde Park-Kenwood Development Corporation and Hyde Park Community Conservation Council.
The SECC was founded in 1952 and is a community-based organization focused on enhancing the quality of life in five neighborhoods on the South Side of Chicago.
