February 8, 2017 – Walter Rodriguez, an Associate in Locke Lord’s Boston office, has been selected to serve on the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys’ (MAHA) 2017 Board of Directors. In this role, Rodriguez will work with the MAHA leadership team to promote service and excellence in the Hispanic legal community.
Rodriguez has been highly involved with MAHA, previously serving on the 2016 Annual Events Committee to help organize MAHA’s Annual Awards ceremony that was hosted in Locke Lord’s Boston office. While attending Boston College Law School, he served as president of the Latin American Law Student Association and participated in the Hispanic National Bar Association’s 2015 Youth Symposium that MAHA helped organize and support.
Rodriguez represents public and private companies and private equity funds in connection with financings, corporate and securities law matters and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Locke Lord, he interned with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Defensor Publico in Atenas, Costa Rica. In law school, Rodriguez co-founded a pro-bono legal aid trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in conjunction with the Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy and Bureau des Avocats Internationaux.
