Houston Partner Douglas A. Yeager will serve as Chair of Locke Lord's highly-regarded Finance, Banking and Real Estate Department, effective immediately. A member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, Yeager previously served as Chair of the Firm’s Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Practice Group.
Yeager focuses his practice on real estate and finance matters representing owners, tenants, developers and financial institutions in the acquisition, development, leasing, disposition and financing of commercial real estate. He is consistently named to The Best Lawyers in America and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. In addition, Yeager serves as a member of the governing council of the Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Yeager is an active community leader, serving on the boards of The Lighthouse of Houston and Houston Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. and is a former board member of The Children’s Fund, Inc. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
Additional leadership changes within the department include Dallas Partner Vicky Gunning’s move to Chair of the Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Practice Group as well as Chicago Partner Samuel Stempel joining Boston Partner Rebecca A. Lee as Co-Chair of the Real Estate Transactions Section.
