July 6, 2015

July 6, 2015 – Locke Lord International Partner Hans Heppe was recently appointed as Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in the United States for the North Texas region.

Heppe will serve as one of 37 Honorary Consuls who, together with eight Consulates General throughout the United States and the Embassy in Washington, DC, work to promote German-U.S. business and cultural relations while also assisting citizens of both countries in matters related to Germany.

Heppe, who is based in the Firm’s Dallas office, is a Corporate lawyer and his practice focuses on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and other corporate finance matters, and restructurings. In addition, he counsels clients on domestic and international business transactions and international litigation, specifically in the transatlantic context.

Prior to joining the Firm, Hans practiced law in New York and Germany, where he is also qualified as Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht.

Heppe’s appointment is a reflection of his long-standing support of the transatlantic partnership. Since 2009, he has served as Director of the Dallas Warburg Chapter of the American Council on Germany. In 2014, Heppe was also a recipient of the Ambassador Award from the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S.
