Writing for the Connecticut Law Tribune, Ted Augustinos Examines How Connecticut is Capturing Captive Insurers

    News
Ted Augustinos, partner-in-charge of Edwards Wildman’s Hartford office, wrote an article for the Connecticut Law Tribune about Connecticut’s legislation to allow for captive insurers. In the article, “Connecticut is Capturing Captive Insurers,” Augustinos addressed several benefits for Connecticut, including “premium tax revue, the creation and retention of jobs for captive managers, actuaries, lawyers and others; providing ancillary services to the industry; and the convenience to Connecticut companies of holding captive board meetings in-state, and avoiding residency requirements for directors in other jurisdictions.”
