Edwards Wildman's Providence Office Brightens the Holidays for Local Families
News
Attorneys and staff in Edwards Wildman's Providence office organized several charitable activities to brighten the holiday season for local individuals and families. In November, the firm supported the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, which solicits, stores and distributes surplus food and grocery products to qualified member agency programs that serve Rhode Island's hungry. Edwards Wildman hosted a special Thanksgiving Luncheon for employees in which all of the proceeds were donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. The firm also offered the employees a chance to wear denim on three designated days in exchange for a monetary contribution and held a pie sale, all of which benefited the food bank. In total, the Providence office contributed nearly $1,500 to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
In December, the firm's Providence office set up giving trees to collect holiday gifts for two local families, comprised of single mothers with children. More than 70 gifts of clothes, toys, and gift cards were presented to the families, with each child receiving nearly 20 presents and both families receiving eight gift cards of $25.00 denominations each.
