Edwards Wildman’s John Whitlock Comments on Judge Allowing Appeals of Jefferson County Bankruptcy in The Bond Buyer

    News
John Whitlock, a partner in Edwards Wildman's Boston office, discussed how U.S. District Judge Sharon Blackburn ruled that appeals in Jefferson County, Ala.'s bankruptcy case will go forward in The Bond Buyer. In the article, "Judge Allows Appeals of Jefferson County Bankruptcy," Whitlock said, "Based on our experience with appeals of confirmed plans of reorganization in Chapter 11, many bankruptcy lawyers, including me, predicted that the court would probably dismiss the appeal of the confirmation of the plan as moot, since the plan had already been substantially consummated with the issuance of the new warrants."
