Michael V. Powell

Mike Powell has decades of experience as a trial and appellate lawyer. He works on a variety of matters, including oil and gas and water law controversies, products liability cases, and other types of complex contract and tort litigation. He has briefed and argued appeals in several U.S. Courts of Appeals, several state supreme courts and intermediate state courts. Mike is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Mike's experience includes the representation of:

• Texas cities in matters regarding groundwater regulation and surface water contracts
• A medical device manufacturer in multidistrict product liability litigation
• Several oil and gas producers in royalty owner disputes, including class action royalty litigation as well as other trial and appellate matters
• A major airline in airport access litigation, Airline Deregulation Act litigation, and other trial and appellate matters
• An aircraft manufacturer in product liability and other litigation
