Locke Lord International Partner Ann Ryan Robertson Elected to the American Arbitration Association's Board of Directors

    (HOUSTON) May 19, 2014 - Locke Lord International Partner Ann Ryan Robertson is one of 12 new members elected to the Board of Directors of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

    The non-profit AAA is the world's leading provider of conflict management and dispute resolution services, having administered approximately 4.1 million alternative dispute resolution cases in its 88 year history. The new board members were announced at their annual meeting last week in San Francisco.

    Robertson, who is based in Locke Lord’s Houston office, has more than 30 years of experience litigating and arbitrating disputes, both domestic and international. She is a member of the American Law Institute, serves as a U.S. delegate to the NAFTA Advisory Committee on Private Commercial Disputes and is also a Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. For more than a decade, she has coached the University of Houston Law Center’s Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team, and in 2008 was one of 30 women honored as an Extraordinary Woman in Texas by Texas Lawyer for her work with students in the field of international arbitration.

    Robertson was also named 2014 Lawyer of the Year for International Arbitration/ Governmental in Houston by Best Lawyers in America.
