Edwards Wildman’s David Bogan Comments on How Expiration Dates Could Be the New Normal For Natural Gas Plants in Law360

    News
David Bogan, a Business Law partner in Edwards Wildman's Hartford office, discussed how a natural gas power plant permit recently issued by Massachusetts takes the unusual step of requiring the facility to gradually reduce carbon dioxide emissions and shut down entirely by 2050 in Law360. In the article, "Expiration Dates Could Be New Normal For Natural Gas Plants," Bogan said, "I think it is, frankly, a brilliant strategy. Massachusetts has been a leader with regards to stating aggressive goals for the implementation of renewable technologies and then putting their money where their mouth is." According to Bogan, Massachusetts is standing as the model to which a lot of states can aspire.
