Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal Taps Edwards Wildman's Don Frechette to Join Men Make A Difference, Men Against Domestic Violence

    News
Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal has invited Don Frechette, a litigation partner in Edwards Wildman's Hartford office, to become a member of Men Make A Difference, Men Against Domestic Violence. Co-founded in the fall of 2009 with then Attorney General Blumenthal, this vibrant group has a mission of working to bring awareness to the community about the services provided by Interval House. More than 20 prominent men actively work with the organization and Senator Blumenthal to help break the insidious cycle by speaking out, helping with fund raising, and using their time, talents, and influence. The men in this initiative work to educate, especially young men and boys, about domestic violence issues and healthy relationships. Since 1977, Interval House has been providing services to people in Hartford and 23 towns in its service area. Its Hartford 20-bed shelter runs more than 95 percent full capacity 365 days a year and victims of domestic violence are provided with 24-hour hotline services, safety planning, support groups, and legal advocacy. More than 171,000 people have been helped by Interval House since it was founded.
