Rory Radding, a New York-based partner in
Edwards Wildman's intellectual property practice, discussed the intellectual property rights concerning iconic fairy tale characters in Forbes. In the article, "
Doll Fight: Is Disney's Snow White The Fairest Of Them All?", Radding said, "The Brothers Grimm may have created Snow White, but Disney took that character, put it in a cartoon with music, and made her look a certain way. They developed the mannerism and everything else going on. They likely have a copyright and trademark for those [later] rights and images."
