November 19, 2013 - Locke Lord Partners David Patton and Terry Radney were named to the Houston Business Journal's 2013 "Who's Who in Energy In Houston," a list of the paper's top 100 most influential Houston business leaders in the energy industry today.
Their selection for this prestigious recognition was based on a range of criteria, including their impact on the industry, years of service and peer nominations.
With more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry, Patton serves as Co-Chair of Locke Lord's industry-leading Energy Practice Group.
He was lead attorney in billions of dollars of oil and gas property transactions in 2012-2014, and has developed a long and illustrious list of clients.
Patton is frequently asked to write and speak on oil and gas issues. He is the Chair-Elect of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Patton is also active in the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, having served as chair of the 59th Annual Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute this summer. He regularly chairs and serves on planning committees for energy conferences, and has been recognized numerous times by The Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA.
Radney has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of oil, gas and energy, and infrastructure project development.
Recognized as a "Top Dealmaker" by the Houston Business Journal, 2013, Radney has worked on a number of significant energy deals in the past few years, including the $2.6 billion sale of SandRidge Energy's Permian Basin properties to Houston-based Sheridan Holdings Company, and El Paso's $7.15 billion sale of its oil and gas exploration and production business to a private equity consortium.
He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and past Chair of the Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Section of Houston Bar Association.
