    Edwards Wildman Advises Time Warner Cable on $600 Million Acquisition of DukeNet Communications

    On October 7, 2013, Time Warner Cable Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Duke Energy Corporation and investment funds managed by Alinda Capital Partners to buy DukeNet Communications, LLC for $600 million in cash, including the repayment of debt. Edwards Wildman

    provided legal counsel to Time Warner Cable. The Edwards Wildman deal team consisted of Pete Barrett, a partner in the firm's Providence office and co-chair of the firm's Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice Group. Tax advice was provided by Karl Fryzel, attorney in Edwards Wildman's Boston office.
