Katie Guarino and Jennifer Mendonça, associates in Edwards Wildman’s
Boston office, were honored by Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS)
for Edwards Wildman’s performance in the GBLS Associates’ Drive. As firm drive captains, Guarino and Medonca were presented with a plaque for the firm’s achievement of 100% participation among all associates and counsel in the Boston office, which has never been accomplished by a firm of Edwards Wildman’s size in the history of the drive. Edwards Wildman was also one of the highest contributors, raising $20,800 for the GBLS Family Law Unit. GBLS provides free legal assistance and representation on civil matters to hundreds of the neediest residents in the city of Boston and 31 surrounding cities and towns.
Guarino is an associate in Edwards Wildman’s Litigation Department. She represents both businesses and individuals in a wide variety of complex civil litigation. Guarino’s practice focuses on higher education, intellectual property, defamation, invasion of privacy, contracts, property law, and commercial litigation. She earned her law degree from Boston College Law School and her undergraduate degree from College of the Holy Cross.
An associate in Edwards Wildman’s Public Finance Department, Mendonca has extensive experience serving clients in the public finance sector as bond counsel, borrowers counsel and underwriters counsel in variable rate and fixed rate tax-exempt and taxable financing transactions involving not-for-profit organizations and other charitable organizations. Mendonca earned her law degree from Boston College Law School, her M.A. from Boston College Lynch School of Education, and her undergraduate degree from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
