Edwards Wildman’s David Bogan Discusses Proposed Canada-NYC Power Line in Law360

    News
David Bogan, a Hartford-based partner in Edwards Wildman's Business Law Department who specializes in public utilities, commented on how New York's approval of a private equity-backed power line from Canada to New York advances the estimated $2.2 billion project for crucial negotiations with Canadian generators over who will provide green electricity in Law360. In the article, "$2B Canada-NYC 'Extension Cord' Still Needs Electricity," Bogan noted that striking an affordable agreement with a main provider is crucial. According to Bogan, "you can't put the genie back in the bottle" once the shovels hit the ground. Furthermore, Bogan added, "That's the linchpin for the authorization, to begin with. If that's not happening, then the justification for the project has been undermined.”
