Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. [NYSE:TDS], the parent company of TDS Telecommunications Corp., has announced an agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Baja Broadband for a purchase price of $267.5 million. Edwards Wildman advised Baja Broadband in the transaction. This acquisition will support TDS Telecom's broadband and video growth strategy. Baja Broadband is a full-service telecommunications company that provides high-speed broadband and voice services to residential and commercial customers in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Utah. The deal team was led by Bob Baute associate in the firm's Providence office.
