Edwards Wildman's Charles Proctor Comments on Scottish Independence in The Times

    News
Charles Proctor, a banking partner in Edwards Wildman's London office, discussed the implications of how an independent Scotland would affect the country's EU membership in The Times. In the article, "Independent Scotland ‘Will Not Have to Seek EU Membership,’" Proctor said that if Scotland became independent, then individuals who could only claim "Scottish nationality" from that date would cease to be EU citizens. Furthermore, he added that rights and obligations created by the treaties would no longer apply in an independent Scotland.
