Edwards Wildman's John Igoe Asserts That Sale of Vero Beach's Electric System is On Course, Reports TC Palm

    News
John Igoe, a partner in Edwards Wildman’s West Palm Beach office, has been featured extensively in the press for his role as the transactional attorney for Vero Beach. In a September article in TC Palm, "Consultants thought it would cost much more than $54 million for Vero Beach to get out of power contracts", Igoe noted that Vero Beach was satisfied with the price tag for the FMPA contracts. In an earlier article, he commented that “we can now make this deal happen” in the TC Palm article “Potential sale of Vero Beach's electric system to FPL takes giant step closer to reality”. The sale had been delayed due to various city contractual obligations. Igoe was cited in an another TC Palm article as well, “Vero Beach hopes soon to have figures to move forward with electric system sale to FPL.” In October, TC Palm reported that the proposed sales agreement could be ready by early next year.
