Edwards Wildman's Don Frechette Comments on ABA Ethics Rule on Technology in the Connecticut Law Tribune

    News
Don Frechette, a litigation partner in the firm's Hartford office, discussed the American Bar Association's new ethics rule admonishing lawyers "to keep up to date on the benefits and risks associated with technology" used in their practice areas. In the article, "Changes To Rules Make Sure Lawyers Stay On The Right Side Of The Digital Divide," Frechette commented that lawyers are apt to embrace technology, with or without such rules, because it helps keep their practices competitive in terms of operational efficiency and cost effectiveness."Whether they are 50 or 25, if an attorney has the client's interest first and foremost, I don't think this rule will be a problem," said Frechette.
