September 11, 2012 – The recently established London office of top 100 U.S. law firm Locke Lord has advised Moorfields Corporate Recovery, the administrators of Hein Gericke (U.K.) Limited, on the sale of 16 Hein Gericke motorcycle apparel stores situated across the UK.
Simon Thomas and Shelley Bullman, partners at Moorfields Corporate Recovery, were appointed joint administrators of Hein Gericke (U.K.) Limited on 30 July 2012. After an initial period during which time the administrators stabilised and traded the business, a purchaser was identified and a sale of the business was successfully negotiated and completed.
Dan Kelmanson and Graham Spitz led the Locke Lord team and were assisted by Joyce Moore (property) and Sarah Linton (employment).
Spitz, client partner for Moorfields Corporate Recovery, said: “The successful sale of 16 stores as a going concern to Hein Gericke Motorcycle Equipment (U.K.) Limited has saved numerous employees from redundancy and has achieved the best possible return to creditors.”
Locke Lord continue to act for the administrators in relation to the disposal of the remaining assets of the company.
