Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
noted the appointment of Boston partner Dick Glosky to the Judicial Nominating Committee. The JNC is a non-partisan, non-political, non-compensated 21 member commission established to advise the Governor with respect to judicial appointments. The Commissioners meet weekly to review applications, interview applicants, conduct due diligence inquiries and recommend applicants to the Governor. Public confidence in the judiciary begins with the process by which judges are appointed to the bench, and the JNC plays a crucial role in the Governor’s selection of the highest caliber of judicial appointments.
