February 29, 2012 — Locke Lord’s Dallas Office was honored Tuesday for its outstanding United Way fundraising campaign for 2011-2012 and received the organization's "Live United" award in the law firm category. The Dallas Office contributed more than $212,000 to the United Way in its most recent campaign. The award was presented as part of the United Way’s Heroes of Hope dinner honoring outstanding community campaign support.
“We are honored and humbled by this recognition, and we thank the attorneys and staff who worked so hard to raise money this past year,” said Dallas Office Managing Partner Don Glendenning. “A special thanks goes to our office United Way Chair — Partner Carl Scherz — whose enthusiasm and dedication to United Way and its work to improve our communities inspires Locke Lord’s Dallas Office campaign each year.”
Scherz is an Advisory Council member and a former Board Member of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. He also is an Alex de Tocqueville member of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and a recipient of the organization’s “Give Volunteer Award.”
