The law firm of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP (EAPD) is pleased to announce that it has launched a new Cloud Computing Practice Group.
As a multi-disciplinary collaboration, the new practice group will serve the rapidly growing number of clients focused on business outsourcing of data storage. It will also serve clients engaged in information technology services connected through fiber optic or other broadband facilities. The group’s focus includes specific transactional and other tasks associated with cloud computing, as well as the emerging trend of convergence between the communications and technology industries.
The cross-disciplinary team comprises attorneys from EAPD’s well-established communications, technology, privacy, and private equity/ venture capital practice groups. The group will, among many other services, help communications companies organically develop or strategically acquire cloud computing capabilities, assist providers and customers of such services with their agreements, and handle evolving (and often cross-border) issues of privacy and security of data.
The formation of this group reflects our continued leadership on cutting-edge legal and business issues in the communications and technology industries.
