The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is poised to hold its largest offshore wind lease sale ever this October, auctioning as many as one million acres in the Gulf of Maine off the coasts of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. It’s enough acreage to generate 13-18 GW of emissions-free electricity to meet New England’s ever-growing demand for power.
